He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry VanHouten and Margaret Zierer VanHouten. He is survived by: his daughters, Vikki Akers of Wurtsboro and Cristi Pizappi of Rhode Island. He is also survived by his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Walker Valley Cemetery.
