With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Olive Burgess (Wallkill, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 27, 2026 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Olive's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Olive has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fannie Quick and Hazzie Quick. She is survived by: her husband Clifford Burgess; her stepson Edward Burgess (Donna); her granddaughter Jennifer Burgess; her sister Jean Uszenski; and her nieces and nephews, Linda Mackey, Joseph Pangia, Nathan, Andrew Mackey, Chantal and Robbie Stephens.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wallkill Funeral Home (12 Bona Ventura Ave, Wallkill, NY 12589). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
