He was predeceased by: his father John McDonald. He is survived by: his wife Carol Resnick McDonald; his children, Stephen McDonald Jr. (Stephanie) of Wallkill, Gavin McDonald of Wallkill, Leda McDonald (Wesley Post) of New Jersey and Shaylene McDonald of Wallkill; his siblings, Sean McDonald (Molly) of Connecticut and Maryann Calabrese (Steve) of Mahopac; and his grandchildren, Landen, Branden, Wesley, Gabriel, Caylee, Travis-John, Nyella, Aniya, Bailey and Zayden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home (39 Orchard St, Walden, NY 12586). A prayer was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Modena Rural Cemetery (2165 NY-32, Modena, NY 12548).
