William C. Ackerly Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William C. Ackerly of Wallkill, New York, born in Hurleyville, New York, who passed away on October 17, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hylia Jane Pustola and Rubin Ackerley; and his stepfather Henry Joseph Pustola. He is survived by: his significant other Susanne Ackerly (Valk); his children, Dawne (Michael Cocks) of Montgomery and William (Jamie Ackerly) of Wallkill; his grandchildren, Michael Cocks, III of Portland, Mitchel Ackerly of El Paso, Julienna Ackerly of Wallkill and Shelby Golden; and his sister Lynne Pustola (Jackie Couzens). He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Bill's name to the Wallkill Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 231 First Street, Wallkill, NY 12589.
