It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John R. Bair of Walton, New York, born in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 15, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugene Bair and Alberta Bair (Shaffer); and his siblings, Herman Shaffer and Lillian Sundal. He is survived by : his wife Laura Rocher; his daughter Anna Hitt (Chris) of Walton; his grandchildren, Blake Hitt, Wade Hitt, Alec Hitt, Avery Hitt, Jaxon Hitt and Huxley Hitt; his adoptive daughters, Desiree of Walton, Teahgan of Walton and Page Tompkins of Walton; and his siblings, Donald Bair (Sarah) of Lafayette, TN, Patricia, Barbara Kraiza (William) of Sidney Center, NY, Lorretta Bair of Deposit, NY and Margaret "Peg" Carey (George Wise) of Mt. Upton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
