It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis J. McAteer of Wappingers Falls, New York, born in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on October 24, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew McAteer and Marie Kurtz McAteer; and his brothers, Michael and Thomas McAteer. He is survived by: his wife Carole A. Schaefer; his children, Brendan McAteer (Susan) of Hoboken, Gerald McAteer (Amanda) of Hyde Park and Erin McAteer of Decatur, Georgia; his brothers, Kevin and Daniel McAteer; and his grandchildren, Alexander, Hailie, Liam, Madelyn and Sienna. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Masks must be worn and social distancing practiced for all services.
