He was predeceased by: his parents, August Sardo and Julia Sardo (Hamerick); and his siblings, Alphonse, John Sardo and Virginia Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Colombo of Poughkeepsie; and his siblings-in-law, Charlotte Martin (Philip) of Mechanicsville, VA, Mary Martin (Richard) of Milton, Magdalen Clayton (Dave) of New Paltz, Joseph Colombo of Albany and Thomas Bonadio of Madison, WV. He is also survived by many loving godchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home (55 E Main St, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (11 Clinton St, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590).
