It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gail Thompson of Wappingers Falls, New York, born in Yonkers, New York, who passed away on November 1, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Sunde and Edith Holbeck Sunde; her husband Robert Thompson; her son Scott Robert Thompson; and her sister Diane Beninati.

She is survived by: her children, Doreen Giamportone (Phil) of Hyde Park and Gregory Thompson (Tazeem) of Ramona, California; her sister Arleen Scapoli of Carmel; her sister-in-law RoseAnn Montalbano (Joe) of Fishkill; and her grandchildren, Michelle, Marissa Giamportone, Annalene and Zachary Thompson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
