He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Gonyo and Joyce Gonyo. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gonyo; his daughter Lizbeth (Robert); his granddaughter Michelle; and his siblings, Debbie Hurley, David Gonyo, SueAnne Sheedy (Michael), Brenda Prosser (Casey) and James Gonyo (Erin). He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
