He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward M. Nolander and Maureen Nolander (DeGraff); his wife Mary Crandall; his children, Janice Nolander (Christopher Burtch) and Eric Nolander; his grandson Kenneth Burtch (Kaylee Greene); his siblings, Patricia Sargent (Gene) of Metaline, WA, Coleen Brandon (Stephen) of Spokane, WA and E. Michael Nolander of Spokane, WA.; and his friends, Jim Doolittle, Bill Moore and Kingsley Karbari.
As an associate with the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation programs he facilitated outdoors adventures for Purple Heart Medal recipients.
