He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank M. Capwell and Ruth E. Scheu Capwell; his brothers, Kenneth and Merrill Capwell; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Newland Russell and John Edward Russell.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Jane Newland Capwell; his daughters, Charleen of Spring Hill and Melody Capwell of Spring Hill; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Capwell of Denver, NC, Peggy Capwell of Roosevelt, UT, Gail Johannes (Robert) of Hermitage, NY and Gerald Newland (Ruth) of West Virginia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Weeks Funeral Home (123 N Main St, Warsaw, NY 14569). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A masonic service was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 3:00 PM.
