He was predeceased by: his father Edward J.; and his son Aaron E. Spear. He is survived by: his daughter Sharon Burrell (Aaron Luce) of Rock Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital in his memory.
