She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto, Sr. Kuhn and Jennie Porter Kuhn; her former husband Keith Carmichael; her husband Robert Ernst; her boyfriend Donald McLaren; her son Malcolm Carmichael; her grandson Isaac Evans; and her sister Joanne Smeal.
She is survived by: her children, Anne Evans (Doug) of South Carolina, Cathy Tarey (Charlie) of Wyoming, NY, Dena Bathgate (Keith) of Tennessee, Jayne Olin (Doug) of Louisiana, Brent Carmichael (Nancy) of Tonawanda and Brock Carmichael (Cheryl Lewis) of North Java; and her brothers, Otto Kuhn, Jr. of Linwood and David Kuhn (Sue) of Dansville. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Livingston County Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation, 11 Murray Hill Drive, Mt. Morris, NY 14510 in appreciation for their loving and compassionate care for Jean in her final years.
