He was predeceased by : his parents, Noel Heidt and Henrietta Heidt (Stevens); his siblings, David, Jimmy, Danny and Mary; and his cousin Leroy Kirkendall.

He is survived by : his wife Rebecca; his daughters, Barbara Wendland (Kevin) and Cheryl Glaus (Peter); his grandchildren, Christina Heidt (Joe) and Ryan Glaus; his great grandchildren, Madyson, Landen, Aliyah and Brianna; his siblings, Robert, Carol and Linda; and his brothers-in-law, Clyde (Verna) and Richard Montgomery (Nancy) of Ohio.
