He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter T. Young, Jr. and Gladys Young; his wife Dorothy Young; his children, Pam Wood (Keith) and Rich (Jenn); his granddaughter Sierra (Brendan DeMatteo); his children, Kailyn, Dylan, Gabriella (Austin Eighmey), Emily Conklin and Makenzie Young; his great grandchild Watson Eighmey; and his siblings, Alfred Young (Turk), Carol Straight, June Higgins and Patty Young. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
