He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alford and Joan Alford. He is survived by: his wife Diane Alford (Willis); his daughters, Katie, Kerry (Alex) and Chrissy (Weston); and his siblings, Kathleen Segal (Wayne), Mary Symon (Daniel), Joan Schlittner (George), Eileen Petti (late Phillip), Patricia DeSantis (Frank) and Michael Alford. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews; 21 great-nieces and nephews; and many treasured friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial (17 Oakland Ave, Warwick, NY 10990). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home (17 Oakland Ave, Warwick, NY 10990). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Emmerich Tree Farm (101 Sleepy Valley Rd, Warwick, NY 10990). A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at the Warwick Cemetery (94 Oakland Ave, Warwick, NY 10990).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Friends of Firefighters, 199 Van Brunt Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231 or the FDNY Fire Family Transport Foundation, Ltd., P.O. Box 340949, Brooklyn, NY 11234 in honor of Billy and his dedicated service.
