He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Potter Knight; his sons, Daniel Knight Jr. of Waterford and Dana Knight (Kelly Malone) of Ballston Spa; his sister Mary Vaglica (Joseph) of Tampa, FL; his grandchildren, Jordan Knight, Samantha Bell (Bryan) and Cameron Knight; and his great grandchildren, Kayden Chrysler, Jane and Sawyer Bell.
