It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John J. Holland Sr. of Waterford, New York, born in Hadley, New York, who passed away on March 3, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, John Holland and Alice Holland; his close friend Sally Rickli; his wife Loretta Holland; his brother Sam Holland; and his sister-in-law Priscilla Holland.
He is survived by : his children, Joann Ernst (Paul), John Holland (Kay), Scott Holland (Betsey), Robert Holland and Christopher Holland (Allison); and his grandchildren, Jason Towne (Jen), Danny Towne (Stephanie), Michele Brobston (Matt), Jonathan Holland (Caralynn) and Morgan Holland. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The FASNY Firefighter's Home (https://firemenshome.com) which is dedicated to providing a home-like setting and care to volunteer firefighters who can no longer care for themselves.
