He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Richardson Schmidt; his children, Kristina Schmidt of Poestenkill, Brenda Sheridan (Keith) of Virginia, Stacy Film (Bill) of Cropseyville, Susie Hyson (R. J.) of Troy, Dana Bass (David) of Rexford and Kim Kermani (Kevin) of Averill Park; his siblings, Mildred O'Donnell (Thomas) of Poestenkill, John E. Schmidt (Christine) of Poestenkill and Robert Schmidt (Kathleen) of Brunswick; and his son-in-law Joseph Sliwinski. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
