She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Mertens and Ruth Scheffler Mertens; and her brother Theodore Mertens III. She is survived by: her husband Robert E. Lowther; her daughters, Christine Masse (George) and Lisa Hackel (Daniel) of Waterford; her sister-in-law Pam Mertens of Florida; her grandchildren, Nathaniel Joshua (Karla), Amber (TJ), Theresa and Jacob (Nicolle); her great grandchildren, Brandon, Sarenity, Majestic and Jeremy; and her great great grandchild Sammy.
