He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Gibbs and Georgia Gibbs; his siblings, Dale Gibbs and Joanne Alvino; his in-laws, Donald and Ina Kidd; his sister-in-law Donna Schoenacker; and his grandson Simon Peter.
He is survived by: his wife Carol (Kidd); his children, Kristy Aldrich (George) and Jeffrey Gibbs (Stacey); his grandchildren, Amelia, Hannah, Maria, Elias, Benedict and John Paul; his pet Cady; his siblings, Stanley of Arizona, Richard, Gary Gibbs (Lisa) of Ohio and Jean Gibbs of Waterloo; his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Gibbs of Ohio and Frank Schoenacker of Ashville, NY; and his aunt Eleanor Holwell of Phelps. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Coe-Genung Funeral Home (46 W Main St, Waterloo, NY 13165). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (42 E Main St, Waterloo, NY 13165).
