He is survived by: his mother Ida May Lerkins Elliott of Waterloo, NY; his son Aaron Smithoover of Waterloo, NY; his fiancée Lisa Battley of Waterloo, NY; his siblings, David Elliott of Port Byron, NY, Len Carlsen (Tina) of Romulus, NY, Donna Evans (Dan) of Seneca Falls, NY, Kristine Carlsen of Seneca Falls, NY, Theresa Panella, Kathy Tanner of Freeville, NY and Amy Ball of Trumansburg, NY; his granddaughter Violet; and his nephews, Tyler Fiorelli and Brett Smith. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Coe-Genung Funeral Home (46 W Main St, Waterloo, NY 13165). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Mt. Green Cemetery.
