He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund T. Swanka and Gloria H. Swanka (Wengiewicz); and his grandmother Martha Wengiewicz. He is survived by: his siblings, Deborah Klein (Steven), Claudia Walsh, Pamela Reinhoudt, Bonita Goodwin of John Colaluca, DO and David Swanka; and his close friend Tim Roe. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (211 Eagle St, Medina, NY 14103).
