He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford C. Smith and Beatrice M. Smith (Dumoulin); his brother Terrence; and his sister-in-law Eleanor Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Michele L. M. Smith; his nephew Alan (Anne Smith) of New York; his great-niece Meah; and his great-nephew Brendan.
