He is survived by: his children, Edward Carter, Pamela Mattice and Tammy McIntyre; his stepchildren, Dean Phillips, Kevin Phillips and Julie Lortie; his grandchildren, Tonya Blair, Scott Mattice, Gary McIntyre, Shawn McIntyre, Rob Carter, Dustin Carter and Rhea McDonald; his stepgrandchildren, Jason Denio, Kyle Jarvis, Joshua Phillips, Katlyn Grice and Mariah Kelly; and his siblings, Frederick Carter (Sandy) and Joyce Shattuck. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
