He was predeceased by: his parents, Hughie James and Catherine LaFex (Jocquie); and his brothers, Robert, Francis, Donald and Everett.

He is survived by: his wife Priscilla LaChance; his children, Michelle Daley (Randy), George LaFex (Toni Marie), Jeannette Burgess (Darren) and Greg LaFex (Holly); and his close friend Maria Kent. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
