Gerene M. Backus Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerene M. Backus of Watertown, New York, born in Henderson, New York, who passed away on May 18, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her great grandchild Alexis Lauzon; her siblings, George Freeman, Jeannie and Laurena; and her parents, Eugene Freeman and Mary Freeman.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Jean Mullis (Randy) of Watertown, Robert Backus of Watertown, Jodie Spaulding (Michael) of Watertown, Deanna Wright of Charlotte, NC and Kevin Backus (Colleen) of Charlton, NY; and her grandchildren, Amber Mullis Legrand, Adrianne Lauzon, Natashia Wright, Jessica and Nicole Backus. She is also survived by five great grandchildren; a sister Marilyn Shepard, Florida; nieces and nephews.
