We bid farewell to Gretchen Rowland of Watertown, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 10, 2025 at the age of 72. Gretchen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, B. Sealy Buck and Elsie Buck (Heatherington); and her siblings, Stephen Buck, Sharon Vander Els (Ted) and Bonnie Lamando (Joe).
She is survived by: her husband Donald E. Rowland of Rowland's Home Appliance Center; her son James S. Yonkovig; her stepsons, Christopher J. Rowland (Sarah) and Adam P. Rowland (Gina) of Charles Town, VA; and her siblings, Larry Buck (Roxanne), Peter (Andrea), Janice "Janny" Harris (Darwin) and Ellen A. (Rick). She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cummings Funeral Service, Inc. (214 Sterling St, Watertown, NY 13601).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Gretchen's name to Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St., Watertown, NY 13601.
