He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis and Grace Sprague, Sr. (Reynolds); his son Michael Sprague; and his brothers, Charles, John and Lewis B. Sprague, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Roseanne Sprague of Watertown; and his children, David Sprague of Sackets Harbor, NY, Christine DeSormeau (Phil) of LaFargeville, NY, Scott Goutremout of Watertown, Christopher Goutremout (Janet) of Watertown, Shelly Wells of Brownville, NY and Crystal Pitre of North Carolina. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Howard's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
