Mary Eleanor Benware Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Eleanor Benware of Watertown, New York, who passed away on November 23, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bazil Christie and Carrie Holliday Christie; her husband Albert W. Benware; her close friend Robert Payne; her sons, John (Terri Benware), Michael Benware of Harrisville, NY and Robert Benware of Ruskin, FL; her grandchildren, Katie Reed, Lindsey Corp, Nicholas Benware, Adam Riley, Andrew Riley and Trevor Benware; her great grandchildren, Geoffrey Reed, Nigel Reed, Ethan Corp, Jr., Wyatt Corp and Leyna Grace Riley; and her sisters, Margaret (Ted Richards), Prescott, Isobel Woods and Inkerman. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Eleanor was active in the Breast Cancer Walk and the family ask for donations to be made to the Gouverneur Breast Cancer Fund, PO Box 64, Gouverneur, NY 13642.
