He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Schorr and Mary Schorr (Kistner); his wife Donna L. Davis; his daughter-in-law Christine Ackley; and his siblings, Anna Carrera, Robert "Bob" (Claudia Schorr) and Harold (Jean "Yung Ja" Schorr).
He is survived by: his son Nelson C. Schorr Jr.; his daughter-in-law Sharon Schorr of Ohio; and his stepchildren, Linda Liner of North Carolina, Robert "Bob" Ackley Jr. of Watertown, NY and David Ackley (Mary Lou) of Carthage, NY. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home (117 N Massey St, Watertown, NY 13601). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Nelson's memory may be made to the SPCA of Jefferson County.
