He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. Alund and Margaret Alund (Tracey); and his siblings, William, Thomas, John Alund, Doris Lear and Jane Kimball.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy M. Alund (Kasparian); his children, Christopher, Timothy, Nadine, Charles Donald, Jr. and Patricia; and his sister Lorraine Alund. He is also survived by several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
