He was predeceased by: his brother Bruce Burgess. He is survived by: his son Christopher Robert Burgess (Kyrstin); his wife Joan M. Burgess of Mosal's Grove; his siblings, Bill Burgess (Patty), Les Burgess (Betty), Kathy Nash (Marty) and Elaine Quell (John); his grandchildren, Preston and Paisley; his son Nicholas Burgess (Shelly); his grandchildren, Kaylie and Paige; his daughter Melissa Burgess (Josh); and his grandchild Piper. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (181 Troy-Schenectady Rd, Watervliet, NY 12189). A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Memory Gardens Watervliet Shaker Road. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at the same location.
