He was predeceased by: his mother Faith Collins; his son Kenneth J. O'Day; his stepson William J. McNeil; and his sister Irene Jacqueline O'Day Kelley. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann O'Day (Hetko); his children, Leslie O'Day Riley (Matthew) and Derek Carlson (Jessica); his stepdaughter LynnErin McNeil Tyler (Scott); his stepgrandchildren, Mary Elena Schacht (Reed), John Dimitri Tyler, Daniel B. Edwards (Miriah) and Aiden J. Collins-McNeil; his stepgreat-grandson Daniel B. Edwards; and his sisters, Marie Sheila Demers (late John), Anna Davita Haskins (late Charles) and Mona Marie Slavin (Thomas). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
In consideration of the care and support provided to John and his family by the Community Hospice, his family suggests that donations, in his memory, be made to the Community Hospice Foundation, 310 South Manning Boulevard, Albany, NY 12208.
