He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Darmetko and Stella Darmetko; his brother Philip Darmetko; his brother-in-law Michael Petzler; and his sibling's children, Jennifer Petzler and William Darmetko, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Susan Darmetko; his children, Michelle Veltman (Jim) and John W. Darmetko, Jr. (Judith); his grandchildren, Justin, Adrianna and Aiden; and his siblings, William Darmetko (Cheryl), Jane Darmetko, Phyllis Petzler, Rose Kentris (Michael), Paula Burr (Chuck), Cathy Darmetko and Janet Darmetko. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
