She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Spiers and Dorothy Spiers (Bulson); her husband James C. Mayer; and her brother Richard W. Spiers. She is survived by: her children, Jamie M. Mayer (Tolani Lawal) and Stephen J. Mayer (Kathi Elizabeth); her granddaughter Sage Elizabeth; her nephew Mark Spiers (Elizabeth); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, John "Jack", Nora and Saoirse.
