He was predeceased by : his grandson Walter Craft, Jr.. He is survived by : his children, Walter Craft of Watervliet, Linda Craft of Albany and Jennifer Craft (John Goldberg) of Albany; his sister Jackie Hilton of Albany; his grandchildren, Jennifer O'Neill, Alexis Craft, William and Kayla Gifford; and his great grandchildren, Isabella, Bailey O'Neill and Archer Taylor.

“We are heartbroken to hear of Walter's passing. Walter was not only a good person, but a good friend as well. Walter and I share many childhood memories and we attended school together. Walter and I were very close friends. Over the years, as our families grew, we lost track of each other. A dear friend of ours, Gerald Althiser, invited us to his home for a BBQ, where I became reunited with my old childhood friend Walter. Growing up Walter, Gerald, and I were inseparable. Walter will be missed.”
