She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Carney and Margaret Jane Carney (Mills); and her siblings, George L. Carney and Carol Garrett. She is survived by: her siblings, Robert Carney (Kathleen), Alyce Courtney (Kevin) and Marilyn Lear; and her nieces, Karen Avery (Philip), Casandra Carney and Colleen Mihalek (Joseph). She is also survived by six great-nieces.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Olthof Funeral Home (1050 Pennsylvania Ave, Elmira, NY 14904). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler, 711 Sullivan St, Elmira, NY 14901.
