He was predeceased by : his parents, Ivan Purdy and Janice Purdy; and his sister Joanna Thornton. He is survived by : his wife Mary Purdy; his children, Melinda (Adam), Jonathan (Kacie), Colleen (Fisnik), Katelin (Rasmus) and Brenda; his grandchildren, Hannah, Ethan, Isaac, Elira, Isabella and Gabriella; his siblings, Ivan, Kevin, Nathan and Daryl; his brother-in-law George Vanderpool; and his nephew Jeremy Vanderpool.
