He is survived by: his children, Brett Wood (Kelly Thompson) and Lynne Castle (Christopher); his grandchildren, Benjamin Wood (Emily Yeoman), Rylie Castle (Kameron Karim) and Alyxa Castle; and his brothers, Kevin Wood and Jeffrey Wood.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Walter E. Baird & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. (300 W Naples St, Wayland, NY 14572). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Wayland Fire Department (14 E Naples St, Wayland, NY 14572).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gary Wood Memorial Scholarship Fund, 2144 County Line Road, Wayland, NY 14572.
