She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis "Pete" Hillen and Rosie Hillen; and her brothers, Keith Hillen and Brian Hillen. She is survived by: her daughter Mandy Lanning (Josh); her grandchildren, Logan and Laine Lanning; and her siblings, Laurie Hillen (Joe Ceraci), Kristen Sorrento (Lou) and Kenny Hillen. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that contributions be made to a local animal shelter in Denise's memory, honoring her love for animals.
