He was predeceased by: his daughter Jessica Owens Walker. He is survived by: his wife Barb; his granddaughters, Loralei and Izzy; his sister Anne Nickerson (Doug) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his sibling's children, Jennifer Gass of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and James Nickerson; and also Eric Walker.
