He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael DeForte and Mary DeForte; his sister Angela; his brother-in-law Art Sobon; his uncle Sam Ippolito (Marlene); and his aunt Rose Ippolito.

He is survived by: his children, Stephen DeForte (Elaine), Debbie Colilli (Dominick) and David DeForte (Nikki); his grandchildren, James DeForte, Jenna Reiber (Austin), Gianna Karabulut (Erdem), Dominique Godin (Jarrett), David DeForte and Nicholas DeForte; his great grandchildren, Landon, Sawyer, Aliana, Anthony, Riley and Domenico; his nieces, Michelle Underwood (Tony) and Deanna Miceli (Frank); his great-nephews, Micheal Miceli and Jack Underwood; his great-niece Juliana Miceli; and his cousins, Micheal Ippolito (Michelle) and Patricia Cline (George).
