He was predeceased by: his daughter Jennifer Marie VanLeuven. He is survived by: his wife Linda Pletcher Hovey; his sons, Jonathan Carl Hovey and Andrew Charles Hovey; his daughters-in-law, Libby Lee Hovey and Kathryn Anne Hovey; his grandchildren, Jane Athelas Hovey and Josiah August Hovey; and his sister Judy Ann Hovey.
