She is survived by: her daughter Susan Merkel (Gary); her grandchildren, Brittany Merkel, Courtney Crane, William Merkel and Eren Viau-Sgroi; her great grandchildren, Xavier, Donavan, Stephen, Noah, Caleb, Joshua and Eleanor; her daughter-in-law Diana Crane (Tracy Sgroi); and her close friend Rose Battisto.
