He was predeceased by: his sister Kathryn C. Haas. He is survived by: his parents, Joe Haas and Mary Haas; his siblings, Kirsten Hlywa (Dan), Marybeth Saccone (Darren) and Eric Campbell (Michelle); his nieces and nephews, Joe, Megan (Leo Campbell), Deanna Schaeffer (Blake) and Darren Saccone, Jr. (Violet Clare); and his great-nephew Connor Schaeffer.

“Dear Haas Family: We are so saddened to learn about Matt. We saw him the first day he arrived, and watched him grow into a man from across the street. He was always polite, cheerful and kind. We are glad we got a chance to talk to him last November. What a wonderful young man he became!
