He was predeceased by: his son Michael; his parents, Paul Slapelis and Stella Slapelis; and his sister Nijole. He is survived by: his wife Marie Slapelis (Mark); his children, Ronald (Suzette) and Linda Mosack (Philip); his grandchildren, Daniel, Benjamin, Amanda and Emily; and his sister Aldona Dowski. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hildebrandt Hospice in his memory.
