He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry R. Greer Sr. and Beulah M. Greer (Olson); and his siblings, Clara Louise (Smathers), Barbara (Hall) and Bud (John).

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann; his siblings, Martha Mong (Greer) of Charlotte, NC and Robert Greer of Knox, PA.; his children, Valerie Fanning (Jeffery), Karen Piascik (Thomas) and Gary Greer (Lisa); his grandchildren, Stephanie Piascik (James Hickel), Michael Greer (Eddie James), Tony Piascik (Ashley), Nicole Greer (Kyle Hofsass) and Lucas Fanning (Emily); and his great grandchildren, Alice, Hunter, Riley, Reagan and Ruby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Harry's contribution to the local community extended beyond his teachings at CCC.
