He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Vinifsky Baran; his children, Heide Doty (Brian) of Auburn and Travis Baran (Cecilia Adams) of Virginia; his sister Linda Schmidt of Maryland; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Baran. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
