He was predeceased by : his siblings, Concetta DePollo and Donald Caldara (Mildred Caldara); his children, Stephanie Schettine and James Caldara; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Mahorney.

He is survived by : his parents, Dominick Caldara and Jennie Caldara (Caputo); his grandchildren, Toni Perkins of Gloversville, Michael Perkins II of Gloversville, Andrew Caldara of Gloversville and Brittany Reece (Daniel) of Burleson, TX; his stepgrandchildren, Adrienne Phillips of Gloversville and Dana Marr of Baltimore, MD; his great grandchildren, Joshua Hulbert, David Hulbert, Camdyn Perkins of Gloversville, Seth Hulbert of Albany and Caleb Hulbert (Diana) of Sterling, VA; his great great grandchild Aiden Anthony Hulbert-Eng of Sterling, VA; and also Debbie Phillips of Gloversville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
